J Chat is a messaging app that seeks to redefine the typical pace of digital communication. It reduces the immediacy often associated with traditional messaging apps by allowing users to receive and reply to messages on scheduled days and times of their own choosing.
Soothing gradients and a softer colour palette create a serene visual experience that aligns with the app’s focus on slow-paced interaction.

Users are able to select their own profile colour to differentiate between their messages and that of other chat participants.
Visual hierarchy is used to distinguish between new messages and scheduled messages, with new unread messages appearing up the top of the left panel, and scheduled messages appearing lighter in opacity within chat exchanges.
